Vass Melinda
Karate coach, movement development teacher
- Karate 2nd dan
- Sports coach (karate), OKJ, 2016
I'm Vass Melinda, a movement development teacher, karate coach and former member of the Hungarian national team, with more than 30 years in sport and 10 years of teaching experience. During my years in Singapore I gained valuable international experience, which I've put to good use since returning home in international nurseries and schools in Budapest. With children aged 7 and up, alongside playful movement development, I put growing emphasis on conscious technical progress and precision. I believe karate is an exciting, dynamic form of movement that does wonders for children's coordination, self-confidence, discipline and perseverance. My greatest motivation is to pass on, in a positive and supportive environment, the values that martial arts have given me. From September 2026 I've started my own karate classes in District XI of Budapest, where I warmly welcome interested children from the age of 7–8, including complete beginners. The classes are mainly held in English, so as well as doing sport, children can use and develop their language skills in a natural, playful setting. When needed, I add explanations in Hungarian too, so that everyone fully understands the task and can join in the training with confidence. My aim is to build a friendly, motivating dojo community where children enjoy training and keep improving. The first session is a free trial class for every new child, so they can get to know me and the programme in a relaxed way before committing to regular training.

In 2022 I completed a fitness instructor course, adding gym-based and functional training to what I already knew. My aim is to share my experience of movement with others, towards a healthier, more mindful lifestyle and a more objective view of yourself.

Őri Csanád
Strength & conditioning coach
- Judo brown belt (IJF record)
I'm a cross-training, personal and judo coach. I started my coaching career with judo in 2018, and over the years I've gradually extended my knowledge and experience towards weight training, which I love. In my sessions my aim is for everyone to find the kind of movement they truly enjoy and that helps them reach their goals, whether that's fitness, endurance, progress or simply feeling better in your own body. I believe sport is for everyone: regardless of age or gender, anyone can find something in it that brings joy and a sense of achievement.
